James
E. McDonald was born in Greenwood, South Carolina on September 9, 1924. He
was admitted to South Carolina Bar in 1950. Mr. McDonald received a Bachelor of
Arts degree from Davidson College in 1948. He received a M.B.A degree from
Harvard Business School in 1947 and an LL.B. degree from the University of
Virginia in 1950. He was a member of Sigma Nu Phi and the Raven Society. Mr.
McDonald was a member of the Editorial Board (1948-1949) and Book Review Editor
of the Virginia Law Review from 1949-1950. he has served as Chairman in 1975
for the South Carolina Bar Association Executive Committee. From 1973-1975, he
served as Chairman of United Financial Corporation and United Savings Bank. Mr.
McDonald is Director of Home Federal Savings Bank. He is currently a member of
the Greenwood County, the American Bar Association and the South Carolina
Bar.
